As of January 2024, I’m officially retiring my skate name “Simon Slays #55”.

Thank you for any part you had in my time as Simon Slays #55- it all shaped my experience and I’m grateful for all of it. It’s time to lay it to rest, so I can pour into a new era and carry on the best of what I took away from the past 6 years. Starting from zero all over again is a big task, but I want to invite you all along to join me on that journey as I rebuild. It’s an opportunity to start fresh. Thank you for your support, from then to now. I appreciate you!

My YouTube channel videos will still be up for you to watch forever.

Why am I retiring “Simon Slays #55”? Long story short: I lost access to my YouTube and Tiktok (unable to log in) at the end of 2023, so the era officially ended then. I still have access to my instagram @simon_slays55, but I will be renaming it. I am creating all new platforms with a new name.

Am I done or leaving? Heck no! I love posting to YouTube, Instagram, TikTok! (etc). You all know I’m social and love to connect with my community & skaters. I love connecting with you on socials and in real life. Let’s stay connected. Follow the new accounts listed next!

NEW SKATE NAME

For my personal skater account, I’m renaming my handle to @scorpioriding. It’s a play on words (I’m a Scorpio Rising).

For my skate content, the rebrand new name is “happy skating” as an ode to my end-of-every-video catchphrase.

If you’ve been following me across social media long enough, you know that my ‘catchphrase’ I end every YouTube video with is “Happy skating!”

I feel that fits the legacy of what I want to continue on with, to encourage skaters to be happy skating and have fun. That’s what it’s all about for me and I want to continue spreading that positivity around!
